Life’s Hardships: The Fact vs. The Truth

Life’s Hardships: The Fact vs. The Truth

Welcome sisters in Christ,

Let us praise the Lord! I am blessed with the opportunity to be used by Him to share Godly wisdom with both young and older women alike. My prayer is that you will come to view this blog as a supplementary tool of encouragement in your walk with God.

Life’s Hardships: The Fact vs. The Truth

It is no secret that being a Christian does not come with a promise of a life which is free of days or even years hardships. In fact, God has warned us to expect the opposite (John 16:33)—hardship and persecution from the world, and even correction from his own hand (Hebrews 12:7). Hardships are a blessing because they are an opportunity to be shaped into women of God; BUT ONLY IF WE LET THEM. Pastor Charles R. SwindollLife once said “life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it”. And if we are being honest nobody wants to think that, we want to believe life is mostly what happened to us, and hardly how we dealt with it. That mindset is not beneficial to our growth as Christians. And contrary to belief, God cares about your attitude and actions through your hardships; this is because a negative attitude prevents maturity as Christians and highlights to God our lack of faith in His sovereign plan.

As a minister, I have the privilege of being a spiritual coach to believers, I have seen the enemy use this innocent ignorance to cheat many believers out of their Godly inheritance and maturity due to the way they view life hardships and as a result handle them. Recently I have been digging deep on these two terms fact and truth, and I will like to just bring some light into it and expose the lies of the enemy.

Fact Vs Truth: the two terms are very much related. That is why you cannot blame people for recognizing both as similar terms.

Sometimes due to whatever circumstances we are going GOING THROUGH, doubts and disbelieve enters our frail minds, we then become tired body – soul- spirit and we then give in.

Sometimes when we look at our situation and everything that is going on in our world it, sometimes blurs the truth because of our current situations.

Do not be of us go through stuff, whether big or small, but t the truth is we are not what we go through and should never settle into whatever our situation may be and allow it to change us to a contrary individual.

FACT is real but it has an Expiration Date

– Fact is basically something that exists, or is present in reality. Hence, these are things that can be seen visually, and these are the things that can actually be verified. So, facts can be seen and heard, as well as proven by the other senses.

– Facts are objective matters rather than subjective ones. It is not just something that you believe, but rather these are more or less the things that can be observed empirically, or by the senses.

TRUTH IS IN THE WORD OF GOD

The truth is God is with us, in us, and always on our side. His promise is in Matt. 28:20

John 17:17 Jesus praying for the church, “Sanctify them by your truth; your word is truth”

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life”

Beloved, your fact is Temporary, that is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. 2 Corinthians 4:16 – 18

Our faith grows strong when we find comfort and truth from God’s Word. We all have the same struggles as our biblical faithful witnesses and we can overcome by their testimonies!
When you find the truth in the word of God as it is related to your situation and stand upon it, you are able to access the grace and strength God provides during the storms of life. A perfect life is a false idol that the enemy uses to distract us from leaning into the perfect God and His perfect love.
God will always perform His word. Be encouraged today. Shalom.
